Contaminated land management and treatment with Bioremediation technology.
The Bioremediation technology, commonly known as "Biopile", is an ex situ remediation process for contaminated land, based on the microbial metabolism of certain micro-organisms that can biodegrade or detoxify polluting substances.
This treatment technology, which entails the use of fungal strains (without the addition of soil improvers) is effective against pollutants such as aromatic and halogenated compounds, while open-chain hydrocarbon degradation is promoted by the metabolic activity of thermofilic and mesophilic bacteria.
Here at Ostellato Ambiente, we employ this technology to reclaim land polluted by medium and high-weight petroleum products.
Reserve and hazardous/non-hazardous waste preliminary storage areas management (D15-R13)
Thanks to the experience accrued in the industrial waste sector, Ostellato Ambiente offers complete supply chain management services at its facilities, through a large dedicated area for D15 and R13 operation.
For certain kinds of waste, where even the best technologies cannot be employed to create end-of-waste products, we can export waste, by managing all technical/regulatory aspects, including logistics by road/train or ship.
Ostellato Ambiente can provide its end customers with the peace of mind regarding a correct and careful waste management, by resorting to expert and trained staff for the entire operation.
Reusable recovered SRM (Secondary Raw Materials) deposit area management
SRMs (Secondary Raw Materials) are the perfect combination between respect and protection for the environment and scrap recovery, as they put what would have become waste back into the production process. Here at Ostellato Ambiente, we can provide materials that are easily placed as SRM. The quality of raw materials is ensured by the highest technology standards, by the Company's experience in this field, and by constant checks throughout the entire recovery and processing phases. A third-party institution can certify whether the resource processed is suitable, through CE certifications based on current regulations.
Industrial site waste management and treatment
Ostellato Ambiente is registered in the Professional Association of Environmental Managers, CAT. 8 (waste intermediation and trade activities, without their retention). It offers waste intermediation services, acting as the link between waste producers/holders on the one side, and the carrier or end recipient on the other side. We strive to ensure the Producer the best placement of its waste, even economically-speaking, through multi-year partnerships with final waste disposal facilities, both in Italy and abroad.
